I have been on pins and needles waiting for the Fantasy Gatcha Carnival to start-up for a couple of weeks and now it has! Running February 2nd through the 28th it is a wicked fun event featuring truly original, fantasy inspired Secondlife items. I really loved this one as the thrill of the gotcha machines had me mixing and matching to create outfits, picking your favorite color or style is for the birds! Well sometimes it is 😉
Now it is me here ans when I see fantasy, my first response is princess, fairy or angel, and this time I went with the first. As some of you know, I teach children and one of my favorite stories is The Paper Bag Princess; about a damsel in distress who picks herself up, rescues her self from her situation in a hilarious tale. Alas after all her efforts to save her betrothed from a fiery dragon, he tells her to return when she is ready to act like a princess.
This dress from Peqe was certainly no paper bag, draped and elegant, it flowed beautifully. The creamy color and shadowing made it look so regal. I matched these turquoise encrusted bracers with a matching lopsided crown and wore this favorite up do from Lelutka. Lastly, no paper bag princess would be caught dead in a palace, no, we had to go out to a pretty hayfield of the Ocho Tango Sim for some down to earth shots.
“Prince Ronald said, Elizabeth, your hair is all dirty. You are wearing an ugly paper bag. You don’t have any shoes on and you smell like a dragon’s ear. Come back and rescue me when you’re dressed like a real princess.
Elizabeth said, Ronald, your hair is all nice. Your clothes are all pretty. You look like a nice guy, but guess what? You are a bum.
They didn’t get married after all.”
